Story Time

Meet Grace Quarshie from Ghana:

Who is Grace and where are you from?

Grace Quarshie  is the founder of Prime Wealthway Consults,  Author, International Speaker and a Life Possibility Coach.

Grace is a Ghanaian who lives in Togo with her family as missionary of the Gospel of Christ.

Grace established PWC 3 years after her entrepreneurial journey in 2016, when she lost her high-profile banking job to redundancy. She has empowered, equipped and inspired other women  to see entrepreneurship as an alternative to joblessness. She does this by shifting their mindset to possibilities and showing them how they can maximize this opportunity to create wealth and impact lives.

How has the journey been like establishing Prime WealthWay (highs and lows)?

The highs have been how she has used PWC to empower 2000 plus women. To shift their mindsets to their possibilities of starting their own business and gain huge media attention. In her home country, as someone who promotes entrepreneurship as a solution to job loss on Tv, Radio and social media.

The lows have been the challenge to get more people to shift their mindset to see possibilities around them, especially in the area of unemployment. Where most people depend on the government for jobs instead of starting something on their own even if it’s a small business and getting more visibility platforms to empower more women to come out of their comfort zone.

Please briefly share with us about your “I kissed my job Goodbye” book? (Links to purchase)

In August 2016, Grace’s life was plunged into disarray following a retrenchment programme by her employer. She however took advantage of other opportunities and went from joblessness to entrepreneurship and began to enjoy the journey after losing her job. Details of her story were captured in I Kissed My Job Goodbye: How I Went from Being Jobless to Owning a Successful Business and Living the Life of my Dreams. IKMJGB is a blueprint for anyone who has a desire to start an entrepreneurial journey but does not know how and does not have the courage to do so.

Please share with us that one turning point in your business, career or personal life?

The turning point in my life was when I decided to step out of fear and started my entrepreneurial journey. This decision has made me awaken my potential and also open avenues for me to impact lives by adding value to the lives of others.

Lack of self-confidence and confidence in business is a reality? How did you manage to overcome the lack of confidence in business, especially being a life coach?

As I have already stated above, I started my journey by stepping out of fear. I believe in doing something poorly until you become perfect and also using failure to grow my CEO muscle. Therefore, I am not afraid to fail so I keep trying and trying untill I get it right. That is how I have been able to overcome the lack of confidence in anything new I want to start.

Why is it important for young female entrepreneurs to be empowered?

Empowerment is the fuel for the entrepreneurial journey, because as we are impacting lives and creating value  as female entrepreneurs. We have to be up to the game in all areas. I will say empowerment in two folds, empowering ourselves with the right tools, information and empowering others with what we have to offer.

Family, friends, work and health.  How do you meet a balance and still remain sane?

There is nothing like balance in this modern world. All you have to do is to do the right thing at the right time and let your values lead you in all you do. I work from home so no driving anywhere which, made it possible for me to stay close to my family. I  also love to see my son going to school and  when he comes back home to see me in my office. Although I run a busy traveling schedule, I spend some time with my family and also take care of myself.

I sleep a lot.

I do not work on Mondays, and I take the whole of June off  to fast and pray. ( it’s my hobby)

I make time to connect with family and friends on WhatsApp and social media mostly.

Words of wisdom to young female entrepreneurs in Africa considering entrepreneurship full time.

My words of wisdom to Female entrepreneurs are, they should focus on building their career in entrepreneurship for a long term( brace themselves for the challenge and never give up). They should dream big with a possibility mindset and always find innovative ways to add value to people’s lives, because entrepreneurship is all about service.
