There is something fascinating about the beginning of every year. A sense of purpose instantly resurrects. You find hope and your spirit comes alive. You reimagine a better version of yourself. A new year gives you an opportunity to reinvent yourself. Everything about a new year is exhilarating. You walk and talk differently. You breathe more life and possibility. Everything just seems to make sense.
After three months of reflections and research, 2024 welcomes a new venture for Botlhale Hub Afrika. We are thrilled to announce this year’s theme and embrace the change. I have had very honest and uncomfortable conversations with myself about this theme in particular. Sleepless nights and limited time on social media. I have had to become vulnerable with myself and others. I have had to grieve the success or failure when putting this theme together. However,I am challenging myself and the possibility of success.
Before I introduce our theme to the LinkedIn community, let me reintroduce myself to prospective connections, clients and partners.
My name is Phiwe Mncwabe, a seasoned Pan-Africanist and storyteller from South Africa. I believe in Africa’s inherent ability to achieve information based knowledge that amplifies the voices of Africans on the continent. I love shaping the identity of Africans in the most creative way possible. I believe that our rich history should anchor creativity and fuel storytelling. I help amplify the voice of Africans, share their experiences through storytelling and shift the African narrative.
I also have ten years of work experience in various backgrounds such as Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning, Content creation, Social media Management, Customer Care, Stakeholder engagement, Research, Data management, Quality assurance, Strategic planning, Oversight , Coordination and Analysis.
My educational background is in BA Social Science in Development and Management studies HONS from the North-West University VTC. Afrikan Feminist and Gender studies Short Learning Programme from the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute UNISA. Anti-Corruption and Integrity short intensive course from Transparency International School in Vilnius, Lithuania. Business Development at the African Leadership Institute.
Now please, allow me to introduce the theme that is designed to replenish our minds and drive us to meaningfully participate in conversations that matter.
Theme- Re-awakening Africans; A purposeful pursuit to unlocking and breathing life into the African dream
Key priorities;

My desire is for this post to reach more Africans who still hope for a better Africa.
