Ghana and Ghanaians embraced me

Ghana redefines the meaning of the grace of God
May 24, 2023

To take a leap of faith or to surrender to the  fear of the unknown?

Once again, it is faith that chose me. Let me begin to emphasize what believing in myself and  trusting in my abilities has done for me.

It has granted me endless courage. The kind of courage that enables me to be  identify and confront destiny decisions.

Destiny decisions being the decisions that remind me that affliction is temporary and that it does not define me. Destiny decisions that channel my mindset not to focus on the present however in everything to look ahead. Destiny decisions that impact my future and cannot be taken on temporary emotions.

Trusting in my abilities on the other hand has enabled me to perceive myself as valuable. It has granted me permission to honour my craft because from my craft a living can be made.

Allow me to please share with you a piece of my passion.

My name is Phiwe Mncwabe, a seasoned Pan-Africanist, storyteller and writer from South Africa.

On the 3rd of April 2023 I travelled to Accra, Ghana to document and learn more about   Ghana’s history, culture and heritage. I wanted to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and hardworking Ghanaians. In addition, reflect on the importance of leveraging the creative economies’ ability to create opportunities for young African’s.

Again, I wanted to put Ghana on the map and lastly interrogate the question of where Ghana is headed?

This is The Gateway documented by myself with the help of Ghanaians.

This is an African initiative; it is for Africa and capturing the heart of Africa. Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated. My heart is full. I am endlessly grateful. Thank you so much for your support, love and embrace.

Thank you for everything.
