What young people need is OPPORTUNITY!

Gratitude goes a long way…

On the 29th of May 2022 I consciously decided to go on a social media detox. Have you ever had that feeling of everything caving in on you. Something sort of like the world is suffocating you. I could barely breathe or even think rationally. The truth is that sometimes we just need a break. A break from it all including the socials.

Social media has a way of consuming our thoughts and time. We read so much into what is being posted, negative and positive that we tend to forget that we are only human. The unspoken truth is that although in these posts we see some positive or negative things we don’t have everything figured out.

It’s okay not to have everything figured out and it’s okay to reject good advice to store for another day. By that I mean, allow yourself to go through every emotion, good or gloomy. Then come back to life and pick up where you left off. I am a believer of subscribing to positivity however, that does not mean some days I don’t wallow in sadness.

I am also a believer of taking time off to realign and redefine your purpose. Sometimes that will require time to yourself. This will mean a break from WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Facebook.

I can safely, I am slowly reintegrating myself onto social media. I feel alive and liberated. A break well-deserved.

Don’t let them fool you, we don’t have it together. Sometimes what you need is time to recuperate and then take charge. I am ready to finish 2022 on a high.

Here is another thing: I am ready for exciting opportunities. Recruiters, investors and connections please view my profile.

Let’s talk and welcome me back to LinkedIn.
