Story Time

History has deprived Africans their dignity of building Africa on their own values, heritage and culture. This has compromised our African identity and our African story. We need to use effective storytelling to retell our stories the best way we know how to.

Reconstructing our African narrative means embracing Africa as a global player when it comes to telling our stories. We reframe our African narrative by telling stories of an evolving Africa. We do this by giving Africans a platform to report on African matters.

With that said, we need to decolonise the thinking of the perception given about the African continent.

There is a need to use dynamic sectors such as the creative industry to represent Africa and its truth

Creative and performing arts should be placed at the forefront of claiming the African identity and to harness social cohesion in Africa.

Multi award-winning veteran actor ,playwright, director and Gender-Based Violence Activist Sello Maake KaNcube is engendering social cohesion and excellence through the performing arts.  The Sello Maake kaNcube Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Sello with the intention to decentralize the appreciation of arts and culture.

Acclaimed and professional actor with over 30 years of experience invites Africans to support the voice production.

THE VOICE from 27 Jan 2022 19:00

About

“The Voice is a clarion call-in song and dance, chronicling the historical destruction of the African family from colonialism to the present. A searing plea to men to take a responsible position in society and mend the broken state of our social and moral fibre”.
