Story Time

Storytelling is an aspect that can be used to contribute to changing the African narrative. Storytelling contributes to sharing the much-needed insights about African countries. We need more creatives to take center stage and showcase their craft for educational purposes. When creativity is showcased it fuels curiosity. Curiosity is bringing interest and draws the audience.

Puppeteer and artist Houcine Bensemicha is leveraging on the creative industry by creating a space for artists and audiences in Algeria.

Sidi Bel Abbès is a remote town in north-western Algeria. Houcine Bensemicha showcased a new show with his puppet, Kerkouz. String mechanics  and the story unfolds in “The Cave”, by filmmaker El Kheyer Zidani, telling a story of creativity.

Take some time to watch this lovely production.
